IBC stands for Intermediate Bulk Container – and it is precisely this logistics that Hoyer intends to further expand, according to their own statements. The provider of logistics solutions for the liquid goods industry announced the strategic acquisition of the business activities of the French company Trans Modal Partenaires (TMP) in the field of IBC logistics.
Portfolio is being complemented
This includes all Intermediate Bulk Containers (IBC) managed by TMP in France and Spain, as well
as the services previously provided by TMP.
"We look forward to the opportunities this acquisition brings," says Marlen Blechschmidt, Director IBC Logistics of the Hoyer Group, and adds: "TMP's strong market presence in Spain and France in the food and cosmetics sector perfectly complements our IBC portfolio and allows us to offer our customers even greater added value."
In addition to expanding market shares, it is seen as an opportunity to reach new customers and further
establish the position in the industry. According to Bernard Miquel, owner of TMP, he can now retire with the greatest confidence and satisfaction.
According to the information, Hoyer Group's service portfolio around the use of IBC includes fleet management, leasing, transport, cleaning, as well as maintenance and repair.
All services can be modularly combined. The acquisition of TMP is retroactive to May 1, 2025, it is stated.
IBC fleet
The corporate group offers logistics solutions for
liquid goods worldwide and is specialized in their handling and transport. The chemical, food, and cosmetics industries are provided with a fleet of over 60,000 IBC for the transport and storage of their liquid products as an alternative to barrels and tank containers.
The small containers, with a volume of 500-2,500 liters, are available in various stainless steel qualities, designs and sizes, some with agitators, heating, and dangerous goods approval in Europe, the USA, and China.
