The Austrian Post and Hornbach have redefined their collaboration in the area of parcel logistics in Austria. According to the companies, the agreement should create a stable basis for the future delivery of the Hornbach online shop. The aim of the cooperation is to deliver online orders reliably, flexibly, and increasingly emissions-free.
First-time delivery rate at 94 percent
According to Hornbach, customers benefit from a high delivery quality through the partnership. The first-time delivery rate stands at 94 percent,
98 percent of all shipments reach the recipients already the following day. The Austrian Post handles the delivery of all online orders within Austria and relies on a dense logistics network with flexible delivery options. Focus on emissions-free delivery
A central element of the collaboration is sustainable delivery logistics. According to the company, the Austrian Post already delivers all packages CO₂-free in Graz, Innsbruck and Salzburg; by the
end of 2025 Vienna should also be fully included. For this, the Post uses various means of transport such as e-vans, e-bikes, e-mopeds, as well as delivery on foot.
The Austrian Post, according to its own statements, has more than 5,000 e-vehicles. By 2030 the company aims for fully CO₂-free delivery on the last mile across Austria.
