Lidl Italia, according to its own statements, is the first company in Italy to receive the new eActros 600 from Mercedes-Benz Trucks in collaboration with Daimler Truck Italia and LC3 Trasporti. Maurizio Pompei, CEO of Daimler Truck Italia:

“Sustainable mobility is the key to our strategy. This collaboration with LC3 Trasporti and Lidl Italia is a concrete example of how we can make a difference together. Our eActros

The fully electric tractor unit is to supply Lidl stores in Trentino-Alto Adige and the Lake Garda area from now on during the summer months. The truck is equipped with a nitrogen-cooled trailer and enables climate-friendly transport for temperature-sensitive goods. The vehicle

and trailer also feature a special livery that visually underscores the collaboration of the three partners. Luca Ros, Logistics Director at Lidl Italia:

“Logistics is a central component of our business – making it more sustainable is therefore essential. For years we have been committed to the gradual decarbonization of transport, including the choice of more environmentally friendly means of transport. It is therefore a great honor for

us to be the first to use the new all-electric tractor from Mercedes-Benz Trucks in long-distance transport. A special thanks goes to our partners Daimler Truck Italia and LC3 Trasporti, who share our sustainability values.”
