With its own range of rough terrain forklifts, the manufacturer Heli offers a wide selection of rough terrain forklifts for the European market, aimed at customers in the event technology, construction, municipal, and sawmill sectors. The equipment covers a load capacity range of 2,000 to 5,000 kg (with a 600 mm load center) and is available in versions with 2- or 4-wheel drive.
In the all-wheel-drive version, a fully automatic clutch ensures that the rear axle is automatically engaged as soon as the front wheels start spinning. The vehicles are powered by Kubota engines with outputs ranging from 35 to 55 kW and come
standard with a torque converter transmission. The power shift transmission offers two forward and one reverse gear, while the rough terrain drive can be engaged manually if necessary.
Heli places particular importance on adapting to dusty work environments: The cooling system is designed to prevent dirt from being sucked in and to keep the radiator fins from clogging. A load-sensing hydraulic system allows precise control of the movements of the mast, forks, and attachments. Four control circuits are integrated as standard – for lifting, tilting, side shifters, and other attachments such as fork positioners or clamps.
The hydraulics deliver 160 bar at a flow
rate of 22 l/min. According to the manufacturer, reinforced duplex and triplex masts ensure good visibility even with large loads such as logs or heavy pallets. Additionally, all devices feature IP65-rated electrical systems, making them operational even in adverse weather conditions. For the German market, Heli also offers fully enclosed cabs with air conditioning.
“We are now really taking off and are present in the market with an extremely wide range of equipment,” explains Market Development Manager Marco Hauk.
At the same time, the company aims to continuously expand its dealer network in the D-A-CH region. Currently, 25 dealers are part of the sales
network, which is set to grow further. In addition to forklifts, Heli's European program also includes aerial work platforms.
Heli was founded in 1958 and employs around 8,900 people worldwide. The European headquarters is located in Friedberg (Hesse) and coordinates not only sales but also spare parts storage, consulting, as well as research and development.
