With the "Potenza Sport Evo" the international tire manufacturer Bridgestone is launching a new "high-performance" tire on the market. The model is based on the multiple award-winning Potenza Sport and, according to the manufacturer, offers improved sportiness, more control in wet conditions, higher mileage, and optimized fuel and energy efficiency.

The improvements are based on Enliten technology, which includes, among

other things, a new rubber compound and a stiffer carcass. According to Bridgestone, the tire is designed for both electric and internal-combustion vehicles.

Performance of the Potenza Sport Evo

The Potenza Sport Evo achieves the top rating A in the EU tire label for wet grip. According to the company, braking distance on wet roads is reduced by up to

five percent and on dry roads by two percent compared with the previous model. The mileage has been increased by around 15 percent according to Bridgestone. That corresponds to about 6,000 additional kilometers. In addition, rolling resistance is reduced by up to six percent, which should increase the range of electric vehicles and reduce the fuel consumption of conventional powertrains.

The Potenza Sport Evo is developed and produced in Europe. At market launch in January 2026, 92 tire sizes are initially available. By 2027, the range is to be expanded to a total of 139 sizes between 17 and 23 inches. Thus, according to the manufacturer, the tire covers around 92 percent of the European sport tire segment.
