Automechanika Frankfurt and the Association of the International Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (VDIK) have decided to collaborate in order to place the brand-specific automotive aftermarket more firmly in the spotlight. The aim is to foster professional exchange between automakers, suppliers and other market participants until the next trade fair in September 2026. Together, central industry topics should be discussed and made more visible in the coming months through a
range of event formats.
Road to Automechanika
The planned formats of the series „Road to Automechanika“ are aimed at a professional audience from industry, trade and workshop. Among other topics, the strategies of new market participants, the handling of vehicle data, developments in accident-damage management, as well as perspectives for fleet services and the aftersales sector will be discussed. Content and discussions will be determined both by representatives
of the international automobile manufacturers as well as by other industry experts from the VDIK environment.
In addition to the professional events, special prizes will also be awarded, for example for innovative services in the areas of connectivity, workshop equipment or aftersales. In addition, the VDIK is now offering sponsoring memberships. Companies and organizations can actively contribute to the association's work, help shape events and benefit from the
network of international motor vehicle manufacturers.
Automechanika is regarded as a major international trade fair brand in the automotive aftermarket, with 15 locations worldwide. The trade fair has been held in Frankfurt since 1971 and has since become globally established. The VDIK, based in Berlin, represents the interests of international vehicle manufacturers in Germany and engages in political, economic and technical questions surrounding the automotive industry.
