Schmitz Cargobull is further expanding its range of services and is bringing workshop services directly to customers with a newly developed fleet of service vans. The aim is to maximize the operating time of trailers and refrigerated vehicles through mobile maintenance and repair – thereby increasing efficiency in everyday transport operations.
With the new, franchise-based service concept, the trailer manufacturer is adding a mobile component to its existing network of more than 1,400 authorized
service partners in Europe. The specially equipped service vans are outfitted with everything necessary for maintenance, repairs, spare parts supply, and roadside assistance, and they come directly to the location – whether at the depot or on the road.
In the pilot phase, the project is starting in Germany, with additional regions in Europe to follow within the next three to four years. The implementation is being carried out gradually, either through existing service
partners or through independent franchisees. They receive comprehensive support from Schmitz Cargobull, such as in the areas of IT, invoicing, logistics, and processes.
The services offered by the mobile units include not only maintenance but also the repair and retrofitting of trailers, refrigeration units, telematics systems, and tires – including servicing of non-Schmitz brands. Original spare parts and qualified specialist personnel ensure the quality of service.
Simultaneously, Schmitz Cargobull is further expanding its digital
integration. Through the “Cargobull PartnerConnect” platform, service partners have quick and targeted access to vehicle-specific data and can handle support processes such as warranty claims entirely digitally. The system simplifies collaboration and contributes to increased efficiency across the entire service network.
