To further develop repair solutions for electric drive units (E-Drive Units), the automotive supplier SKF Automotive has entered into a strategic partnership with the Croatian company EV Clinic. The partners will exchange their technical know-how in the aftermarket for electric vehicles.

About EV Clinic

EV Clinic specializes in repairing electric vehicles and currently operates locations in

Zagreb and Berlin. The company plans to expand its franchising network across large parts of Europe. Vanja Katić, CEO and founder of EV Clinic, comments on the partnership as follows:

“With SKF as a partner, we can create a system in which quality, transparency and knowledge define the EV service industry of tomorrow. This is the

next developmental stage of the independent EV aftermarket.”

With the cooperation, SKF aims to expand its position in the growing European market for electric vehicle repairs. In addition to spare parts, the company will also offer services such as repair kits, technical documentation, training and certification programs, special tools, and diagnostic software. Additionally, networked support services

and sustainability initiatives for refurbishment and CO2 reduction are to be developed.

Both partners emphasize the importance of the collaboration for expanding independent repair options in the EV aftermarket. According to the company, more than one million electric vehicles in Europe are now outside the warranty—an development that opens up new market potentials for specialized repair
