The Rewe delivery service fleet is set to grow – 64 Mercedes-Benz eSprinters with box bodies are intended to contribute to expanding electromobility in urban spaces.
Charging infrastructure must not be missing
In Berlin, 40 of these cab chassis with box bodies from the Mercedes-Benz Van partners Sommer and the Mercedes-Benz VanSolution partners Spier have already been handed over to Rewe. At the same time, the site of
the Rewe Fulfillment Center Tempelhof was equipped with charging infrastructure and a total of 42 charging stations. There, the vehicles can be charged at up to 22 kilowatts.
Soon, a further 24 eSprinters are to be ready at the North Rhine-Westphalia site Neuss.

According to Clemens Bauer, Director Rewe E-Commerce, they want to offer customers a locally CO2-emission-free delivery option with the eSprinter vehicles.
For various applications
According to the manufacturer, the eSprinter chassis as well as the eSprinter panel van are available in two lengths and with three different battery capacity sizes. The cab chassis would be suitable for
various body configurations – depending on customer requirements.
Refrigerated service body
For the Rewe delivery service, the vehicles are equipped with a 150 kW (204 hp) motor as well as an 81 kWh high-voltage battery.
