Contargo expands its offering in combined transport. The company announced that on 1 September 2025 it would start operating the Duisburg-Dourges Shuttle between Duisburg and Dourges in northern France. On 26 September the start of the Poland-France Shuttle will follow with the first voyage from Krzewie to Dourges. According to the company, these two connections alone are expected to save up to 1,500 truck journeys per month.

„The combined transport is ideal for regular cargo flows over long distances,“ says Andreas Mager, managing director Contargo Intermodal Solutions. „With the new corridor solutions, we want

to expand the share of environmentally friendly transports also between Central and Eastern Europe.“

Duisburg-Dourges Shuttle with three round trips per week

The Duisburg-Dourges Shuttle connects the Duisburg Intermodal Terminal with the Lille Dourges Container Terminal. Three round trips per week are planned with a fixed timetable. Via Dourges there are connections to Fos-sur-Mer, Lyon, Marseille, Miramas, Mouguerre, Paris, Perpignan and Rennes. From January 2026, an extension to London is also planned. From the Duisburg terminal there are additional rail connections to Poland, the Czech Republic and China.

Poland-France Shuttle with two routes

The

Poland-France Shuttle comprises two routes, each connecting Dourges with locations in central Poland. The first route runs directly from Dourges to the Miratrans Terminal in Krzewie. It is served with one round trip per week. The acceptance cut-off in Dourges is Tuesday at 18:00, with the provision in Krzewie on Friday at 07:00. In the reverse direction, the acceptance cut-off in Krzewie is Friday at 19:00, with the provision in Dourges taking place on Monday at 06:00.

The second route runs from Dourges via Duisburg to Kutno. It consists of two sub-sections. Between Dourges

and Duisburg, three round trips per week are planned. The Duisburg–Kutno route is served within a PCC network partner connection with up to five round trips per week.
