Under the motto "Dancing with Robots" Trapo at FACHPACK 2025 (September 23–25 in Nuremberg) will showcase crate and carton handling for live participation. More than 33 years ago, the company from Westmünsterland debuted at FACHPACK.
The live performance, according to the company, this year stages the handling of reusable crates and cartons up to 35 kilograms in weight – delivered on cross- and lengthwise pallets. According to Trapo, they are used in almost
all industries and are a fixed component of sustainable supply chains, from the food industry to the automotive industry. Their standardized construction features thus make them equally suitable for highly automated manufacturing processes and well-thought-out warehouse management.
Trapo will demonstrate in Nürnberg the synchronous interaction of two articulated-arm robots – a cobot ("TCP" series) and a high-performance model, connected to conveying technology and an autonomous robot (AMR) from partner Omron and an AMR
top module from Moveli for pallet handling.
The cobot is equipped with a maintenance-friendly suction gripper, the actuator from the "HRS" series (High-Speed Robot System) with a fork gripper. The task: alternately palletize and depalletize crates and cartons. A task that requires the highest precision in the exact interlocking stacking of the crates. The changeover from full to empty pallets is handled by a flexible robot that operates autonomously in the smallest space.
Customer-specific automation
In Nuremberg, the company from Gescher-Hochmoor in Westphalia presents itself as a system integrator with an extensive in-house product portfolio. The compact hardware and software systems developed in the TRAPO technology center and installed worldwide are based, according to the company, on a modular system. Thanks to the modular kit, there are numerous possibilities to address the individual automation requirements of the packaging industry, according to Trapo.
