Reesink Logistic Solutions (RLS), a provider of automated warehouse solutions, and the Stuttgart-based technology company Sereact have entered into a strategic partnership. This is reported in a press release dated May 5. The aim of the collaboration is to advance robot-assisted item handling through artificial intelligence, it says. Sereact's AI systems are to be integrated into RLS's solution portfolio to enable more flexible automation solutions. The companies

want the addition of Sereact's AI-supported item handling to RLS's portfolio to be understood as a step towards intelligent, adaptive, and easily accessible warehouse automation.

Flexible Item Handling with Artificial Intelligence

Sereact's AI solutions are specifically used in inbound and outbound processes. According to the company, they automate the storage of small parts via bin-to-bin handling or item storage upon goods receipt and precisely pick individual items

for shipping upon goods dispatch. According to Sereact, the AI visually recognizes objects, contextually decides on the optimal handling, and implements this fully autonomously—independent of product type, shape, or position in the container.

"Flexible item handling with AI ideally complements our portfolio. It can be seamlessly integrated and provides our customers with easy access to scalable automation—especially in times of labor shortages, increasing cost pressure, and growing

process diversity," explains Machiel van den Hazelkamp, Chief Commercial Officer at Reesink Logistic Solutions.

According to the press release, Sereact's technology is based on a Vision-Language-Action Model (VLAM). It links visual information with linguistic and physical context and enables zero-shot reasoning—autonomously recognizing and handling unknown objects without prior training. This makes the system particularly suitable for dynamic warehouse environments where traditional automation solutions reach their limits, according
