The Kühne Logistics University (KLU), a business school based in Hamburg, has successfully opened its new campus in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Almost 30 students have started their studies, KLU said in a press release on September 26. Teaching takes place at KLU's partner university, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT). In addition, there is a representation at the renowned German House, which also houses the German Consulate General, the German Business Delegation in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), the Goethe-Institut, and other well-known German organizations and companies.
Students in Saigon, the economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City, can earn the Master of Science in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management. The program is offered in cooperation with the internationally renowned Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT). The university had already been
accredited in November 2024.
The official opening of the campus with accompanying program is on Tuesday, 28 October 2025 in Saigon.
The introduction of the first master's program is based on a strategic partnership that was concluded between KLU and HCMUT in May 2024. With Saigon as the main study location, students have the opportunity to spend an exchange semester at the KLU campus in Hamburg and to benefit from the joint teaching offerings of the faculties of both universities. In the future, the Saigon campus is to continue growing: additional English-language degree programs, joint research projects, and academic events are already in planning.
The presence in Vietnam is a step toward internationalizing KLU's offerings in logistics and management education. "Our Saigon campus is a regional hub for building capacity particularly in logistics and supply chain management, but also
in business management and leadership as well as data science – and for Vietnam, Southeast Asia, and the entire Asian continent," said KLU President Prof. Andreas Kaplan. "In this way we follow our mission as a university to empower leaders worldwide with a strong operations mindset."

The first day on campus began with a cultural introduction: a private screening of the current blockbuster 'Red Rain', which
is currently breaking records in Vietnamese cinemas.
