From August 2025, the new multi-user site of the WM Group in Bocholt will commence operations. Located on the Dutch border and with good access to the A3, the site is logistically ideally positioned – both for the Rhineland, Ruhr area, and the Benelux region, stated the WM Group in a press release on July 15.

The site

has a total area of over 23,000 square meters of hall space, complemented by 2,590 square meters of mezzanine and 600 square meters of office and social spaces. As part of the brownfield project – in collaboration with Aconlog Projektentwicklung GmbH – a property was created where ecological aspects are important:

  • 24,000 tons of reused demolition material
  • 1,237
  • tons of recycled steel and iron
  • 98 percent recycling rate, EU taxonomy-compliant
  • Significant CO₂ savings in the construction process

In 2026, the operation is also to be supported by a full-surface photovoltaic system. The property is designed for hazardous substances according to WGK 3 and is therefore also designed for battery logistics. The site features 25 loading ramps

and five sectional doors, making it suitable for multi-user utilization.

"With this site, we show that sustainability, efficiency, and future viability in logistics are not only compatible – they belong together," said Ralf Kahnert, Managing Director of the WM Group. According to the logistics service provider, the first customers will move in in August. Other companies can still
