Xuzhou Construction Machinery Group (XCMG) is launching the distribution of forklifts, reach stackers and terminal tractors from its European headquarters in Krefeld after lengthy preparations. The Chinese construction machinery group from Xuzhou announced this in a press release on October 28.
Recently, XCMG presented an electric reach stacker and an electric terminal tractor at TOC 2025 (Terminal Operator Conference) in Rotterdam – they are ready at the Dutch dealer for customer trials. Florian Weiler, Sales Director, Forklift & Port Machinery, noted: “We
are starting with dealer distribution and offer demos, rental equipment, financing and maintenance contracts. Our dealer network is growing and is of central importance for port technology because the requirements regarding performance, service and availability among this customer base are very high.”
„From mid-2025, the forklift and port-technology division is being launched,“ said XCMG Marketing Director Dr. Dirk Sträter. “The European market is technologically leading and indispensable for us. With our European headquarters in Krefeld and a warehouse and pre-delivery center in
Oberhausen, we are well positioned for entry into the market with forklifts and port technology.”
In 2024, the Forklift Division of XCMG was founded. The European forklift program currently includes:
- Electric forklifts from 1.5 to 16 tonnes (lithium-ion)
- High- and low-lift pallet trucks and reach stackers
- Electric full-container reach stackers up to 45 tonnes
- Empty-container stackers for up to eight containers (electric and diesel)
- Electric and diesel terminal tractors with 70 to 150 tonnes tractive effort
