APL Logistics opened a new branch in France on September 22, 2025. According to the company, the move will expand capacities in Southern and Western Europe and improve access to order management solutions. The company is part of the Kintetsu World Express Group and specializes in the management of orders within global supply chains.
“APL Logistics has long been known for its reliable global solutions, but also for its integrity, its vision, and the well-deserved trust of its employees and customers,” says Thad Bedard, President of APL Logistics. “We have achieved this by investing in employees, presence, and expertise at both
the origin and the destination. Our expanded presence in France ensures that industry players in the region have better access to first-class solutions in order management and logistics.”
Purpose of the Expansion
With the opening, APL Logistics responds to the growing demand from companies for more transparency and control on a per-order basis. According to the company, resilience and risk mitigation in increasingly unstable supply chains are also the focus.
“We are continuously working to further improve our business in Europe and worldwide,” adds Kim Overman, Regional Vice President EMEA at APL Logistics. “Our new branch in France ensures that APL
Logistics is well positioned to offer high-quality logistics services to one of the region's most dynamic markets, providing more flexibility, control and optimization for important supply chain networks. This expansion was also driven in part by our customers who want more flexibility and control over their pan-European activities.”
Existing European Network
APL Logistics already has offices in Hamburg, London, and Rotterdam. Turkey serves as a gateway for coverage of the European continent. With the new location in France, the company aims to enable a unified order management along key European corridors and expand its pan-European services.
Focus on Customs Clearance
The
company announced that it would strengthen its regional focus on customs clearance. The aim is to optimize processes, anticipate regulatory changes early, and meet delivery schedules. Additional market entries in Europe are planned for 2025 and 2026.
