The WRM-Reese Group has taken delivery of 31 new semi-trailer trucks from Fricke Nutzfahrzeuge. The DAF brand vehicles strengthen the fleet of the Northern German building materials logistics provider and are intended for use in both factory traffic and on construction sites. According to the press release, the handover took place on May 23, 2025, at the WRM location in Rinteln. The WRM Reese Group is investing around four million euros in modernizing its fleet.
All vehicles are from Fricke Nutzfahrzeuge in Heeslingen, a company of the Fricke Group. According to the company, the handover included 26 weight-optimized DAF XF 530 FT for delivery traffic to
concrete plants, four DAF XF 530 FT PXP with switchable hydro drive for unpaved terrain, and one three-axle DAF XF 530 FTT for transporting heavy construction machinery.
According to the announcement, all 31 tractors are equipped with extensive safety and comfort features. These include a digital camera system instead of conventional rearview mirrors, an aerodynamics package, high-gloss aluminum rims, an additional MX engine brake, as well as a combined parking heater and air conditioning system. An integrated refrigerator is also part of the equipment. Despite the fact that drivers usually return daily, WRM-Reese has opted for spacious sleeper cabs to improve working conditions.
According to Fricke
Nutzfahrzeuge, the standard safety equipment includes a turning assistant, a front radar, a traffic sign recognition system, and a reversing camera. Additionally, the vehicles have been equipped with an alcohol interlock system that allows the engine to start only after a negative breath alcohol test.
At the customer's request, additional work lights were installed to enable safe maneuvering on construction sites in poor lighting conditions. The generous all-around visibility of the cabins is intended to make deliveries in unclear terrain easier, according to the manufacturer.
Another technical component is the hydraulic system for dump trailers and low-loaders, provided by HTH Hoppe Truck Hydraulics, a company that
is part of the Fricke Group, and was installed in all vehicles.
The WRM-Reese Group operates its fleet of a total of 42 vehicles at 14 locations in Northern Germany. After the current delivery, the share of DAF tractors increases to 37 vehicles. The company aims to increase operational safety and keep the fleet’s external appearance consistent, with all units being replaced after 36 months at the latest.
According to WRM-Reese, the newly acquired vehicles also contribute to regional brand development: The trailers are printed with photo motifs from the city of Rinteln and are intended to show the connection to the main site as "rolling
