The mobility service provider DKV Mobility, according to the company, launched a new generation of the DKV Fleet Card on November 6, 2025. The new card model will initially be introduced in the Netherlands and combines state-of-the-art EMV chip technology with a traditional magnetic stripe. With this, the company aims to increase security and flexibility for fueling and service transactions.

With the chip technology, fleet customers will be able to process their payments contactlessly at NFC-enabled terminals in the future.

The technology, according to DKV Mobility, should significantly reduce the risk of counterfeiting and abuse. If a gas station does not yet support chip functionality, the magnetic stripe can still be used.

Pan-European use and digital development

According to the company,

the card is now available in the Netherlands — for both new orders and upon request. The introduction of equivalent card products in additional European markets is planned for 2026.

Sven Mehringer, Managing Director at DKV Mobility responsible for Energy & Vehicle Services, says: “With the new DKV Fleet Card in the Netherlands, we are targeting a future-proof technology and elevating our card portfolio to the next level. The switch to chip technology not only enables higher security standards and
