Hellmann Worldwide Logistics and SkyNet are entering into a strategic partnership. They aim to create a new offering for cross-border trade, according to the statements.

An end-to-end service is to be offered that encompasses the complete e-commerce supply chain – including warehousing, fulfillment, re-fulfillment, B2C deliveries, and returns management.

Cross-border B2C distribution

A service is being developed that should be faster than postal shipping and yet cheaper than express

shipping. Through integrated systems, worldwide shipment tracking across all modes of transport would be possible. With the help of digital tools and API integrations from SkyNet, international shipments could be controlled via a single interface.

The agreement provides that Hellmann will contribute its transport infrastructure and global warehousing expertise to scale the processes efficiently. According to the information, Hellmann's existing e-commerce solutions had focused on B2B and warehousing. The

new product, by contrast, would focus on cross-border B2C distribution.

SkyNet offers daily cross-border solutions in more than 190 countries—from pickup, transport, import/export customs clearance and delivery to returns management and customer service, it says.

Gradual expansion

The new e-commerce product will initially be available to shippers based in the EU or the United Kingdom – with plans to roll out the service gradually worldwide.

“With this new partnership,

we combine Hellmann's infrastructure and market presence with SkyNet's comprehensive e-commerce expertise to create a true end-to-end solution for merchants of every size,” explains Tommy Erasmus, Group CEO of SkyNet Worldwide Express.

According to Martin Habisreitinger, COO Airfreight, Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, the cross-border e-commerce solution connects warehouses directly with customers worldwide.

“Together with SkyNet, we combine Hellmann's global logistics competence with reliable last-mile delivery in over 190 countries,” said
