IDS Logistics is driving forward the digital networking of the piece-goods network: Since August 2025, reportedly 28 of the 54 IDS locations are using a cloud-based data hub based on the Eikona Enterprise platform as well as the Habbl driver app from Eikona Logistics.

Data Synchronisation

Among other things, the Belog portal, order capture and tour planning via a web application, as well as the digital documentation of pickup and delivery processes by drivers via the app would be deployed.

The platform is connected to the various transport-management systems of the partners. In this way, the data would be continuously synchronised – which should also increase transparency.

Real-time Data

Exchange

In addition, a new communication technology is intended to enable real-time communication between all IDS depots and between all short-haul transport software solutions used in the network.

As the centerpiece of the whole, a new DataHub serves as the central data hub for the processing and distribution of orders and status information between all IDS depots.

Real-time data exchange across all depots and systems would be enabled. The central platform processes and distributes orders, status messages and master data — without system outages, even if partners use different applications.

„New partners and systems we can now integrate much faster and more easily – regardless of which software or

mobile apps they use. The technology arrives exactly in time for onboarding the new IDS locations as of January 1, 2026,“ says IDS managing director Michael Bargl.

The central master data management is intended to increase efficiency, planning reliability and service quality, and to improve the controllability of the processes. For example, within a few minutes, only a few routings or structures for the entire network could be updated.

Mobile App

The Habbl mobile driver app was developed by Eikona Logistics to meet the requirements of the piece-goods network and is a mobile complement to the Enterprise platform.

The company cites an investment of around €800,000 for the project.

By now, all depots have been connected to the new DataHub, using a total of six different IT systems.

28 depots were migrated from the previous short-haul transport software to the new platform. More than 3,200 tours, 2,400 MDE devices with the Habbl app and 1,730 active users are currently running on the platform.

Follow-up Projects

Several follow-up projects with Eikona Logistics have already been started, including the ETA calculation (Estimated Time of Arrival).

In addition, the CO2 calculation (carbon footprint) should be refined through collected primary data on vehicle type, utilization and drive type. The use of artificial intelligence for automated order capture and data validation is also
