The L.I.T. Group from Brake has acquired Kombi Fracht GmbH, the company specialized in system transports, two-way transports, LTL, FTL and warehouse logistics. With this step, on the one hand the range of offerings should be expanded, and on the other hand the presence in Northern Germany should be strengthened.

“With the takeover of Kombi Fracht, we are closing an important gap in our portfolio. In particular, the long-standing and stable customer base of

Kombifracht is a major gain for us, as it sensibly complements our existing network,” explains Ingo Schreiber, member of the Executive Board of the L.I.T. Group.

According to him, this could further expand the market position and better address the respective customer requirements. The headquarters of Kombi Fracht is located in Groß Ippener, on the A1 and about 25 kilometers from Bremen's freight village (GVZ).

The site, as well as warehousing logistics, are to

be fully integrated into the L.I.T. Group's range of services, according to the information. In total, 15 commercial employees and around 90 drivers have been taken on.

Fleet expansion

As part of the takeover, the Kombi Fracht fleet was expanded by 28 new DAF trucks. The former managing director of Kombi Fracht, Michael Henschel, will continue to lead the company.

Also the existing Kombi Fracht brand will continue to operate independently in the market.

According to Michael Henschel, they look forward to continuing to offer customers the usual service as part of the L.I.T. Group. At the same time, new opportunities arise to develop the business further and offer additional services.

Expansion of the logistics network

According to the company's information, the L.I.T. Group intends to continue its growth strategy in the Cargo segment, further expand service areas such as system transports and warehousing logistics, and increase capacities.
