services and in Gerhard Wegmüller GmbH in Zurich, which specializes in aviation logistics.
By integrating time-critical transport solutions, local market presence, and aviation expertise, one aims to strengthen responsiveness and service quality in international markets, according to the statement.
Offered Services
With MBS Aerospace, according to the information, the company targets businesses with complex and often time-critical requirements, such as manufacturers (Original Equipment Manufacturers/OEMs), Maintenance, Repair
and Overhaul/MRO providers, airlines, service centers, and parts dealers.
Among the services are, among others, AOG transports (Aircraft on Ground), Next Flight Out (NFO), On Board Courier (OBC), charter solutions for air freight, the continuous 24/7 monitoring and operational control, customs and export-control clearance, as well as support in maintenance and repair processes.
The new business unit will be led from the Hamburg site by Joerg
Hansen. He reportedly has many years of experience in airfreight and aviation logistics, including senior positions at Geis Air + Sea GmbH and Group7 AG.
