At Neuss Harbor Basin 4, Rheincargo has taken on a new logistical task: the company is responsible for crane handling at the recently opened value stream management site of Strabag AG. The cooperation is intended to be long-term, Rheincargo announced to the press on July 4, 2025.

The project of Strabag AG aims at a resource-efficient

circular economy in the construction sector. On an area of approximately 13,000 square meters, rented by Rheincargo, up to 250,000 tons of mineral construction and raw materials will be processed annually in the future. The goal is to produce high-quality substitute building materials from the analyzed value streams and reintegrate them into the material cycle.

The

convenient location at Neuss Harbor allows for flexible transport by ship, rail, and truck. This benefits both the companies involved and the heavily utilized infrastructure in the metropolitan area.

"We are very pleased to support Strabag AG in this sustainable project," explained Lukas Klippel, head of the port business unit at Rheincargo.

He spoke of a

"great message for the circular economy."
