The Noerpel Group, based in Ulm, has expanded its training commitment for 2025. In autumn, 122 young people began their training at the logistics company. This increased Noerpel's number of training positions compared with the previous year, when 110 trainees were hired. The company also plans to further increase the number of positions for the 2026 training year.

Overall, the corporate group currently employs 250 trainees and students in dual study programs. The new cohorts started in August in nine federal states and in September in seven more. Overall, the company said it has increased

its own training quota. The aim is to train so as to hire the next generation after successful completion and to provide them with early career prospects within the group.

“The trainees of today are the professionals of tomorrow,” says Executive board member Judith Noerpel-Schneider. “We want to make our contribution against the shortage of skilled workers through solid training. In addition, we promote internal exchange and use successful ideas or strategies from individual locations also in other regions – thus we benefit group-wide from best-practice examples.”

New Mentoring Concepts

Parallel to the expansion of

training positions, the logistics company has introduced a new training concept. The aim is to bring training at all locations to a uniformly high level of quality. This should improve both mentoring and the organizational processes. At the same time, the new standards would allow room for site-specific adjustments, it is said.

The concept provides for several measures to specifically support trainees. These include structured onboarding programs, internal exam preparations, outlining opportunities for further training, and a formal feedback culture. In addition, Noerpel promotes internal exchange to adopt successful concepts from individual branches group-wide and

to use best-practice examples across locations.

Training in Eleven Vocational Fields

The next generation is trained in a range of commercial, industrial, and technical occupations. These include, among others, training as a warehouse logistics specialist, as a professional truck driver, in various commercial occupations, as well as dual study programs in business administration, computer science, and business informatics.

According to the company, the new trainees took part in training sessions and team events in the first weeks, in addition to an introductory session. Applications for the start of training in 2026 are already possible. (av)
