Shell Deutschland and the company myflexbox are collaborating on expanding a nationwide network of parcel stations. According to a joint statement dated November 10, 2025, myflexbox installations have already been installed at over 50 Shell stations in 14 federal states. Further sites are in planning. The aim of the cooperation is to gradually develop gas stations into multifunctional mobility and service points.
Expansion of the service offering
The cooperation is intended, according to the companies, to offer customers an additional service. The parcel stations installed at the gas stations
enable packages from several parcel services – UPS, DPD, GLS and FedEx – to be collected, returned or sent around the clock in a contactless manner. The pickup or drop-off of packages can be combined with fueling, shopping, charging electric vehicles, car washing or a break in the Bistro.
Shell and myflexbox aim to simplify customer access by integrating logistics services and to enhance the customer experience at gas stations. Both companies emphasize the combination of everyday practicality, flexibility and sustainability as a core principle of the collaboration.
Impact
on traffic and emissions
According to the company, the integration of parcel stations into gas station environments is also expected to bring ecological benefits. By bundling deliveries, the number of trips in urban areas decreases, easing delivery traffic and reducing last-mile emissions. According to studies, smart parcel stations can boost customer footfall by up to 11 percent. A 2019 InPost study found that 16 percent of those picking up parcels fuel up solely because of the parcel service.
Part of a comprehensive mobility concept
Shell operates more than 2,000
gas stations in Germany, which are used daily by over one million customers. In addition to fuels and shops, there are already electric charging stations and car wash services offered. According to the company, the integration of parcel stations is another step in transforming the existing gas station network into a broader mobility and service network.
Myflexbox operates, on its own account, the largest provider-neutral parcel-station network in Germany and Austria. With the cooperation, the company aims to further densify its network and position its systems at high-traffic transport
