The Swiss branch of the Swedish telematics company Addsecure began the transition to a new toll system for heavy transport in Switzerland in June. According to a statement from Addsecure, the subsidiary LOSTnFOUND is responsible for onboarding up to 55,000 trucks. The new system is operated by Nastras AG, a joint venture between LOSTnFOUND and the technology provider Kapsch Trafficcom.

Within Nastras AG,

LOSTnFOUND takes on central tasks in the introduction of the so-called "Vehicle Detection System" (ESF). This includes the technical provision of the devices as well as the support of vehicle owners. In total, around 12,000 transport companies are to be switched to the new system. According to the company, communication is conducted in the three national languages as well as in English.

The

handling of owner contact and device configuration is carried out via digital tools that LOSTnFOUND has specifically developed for the toll project. They are intended to automate processes and reduce the effort for those involved.

Daniel Thommen, Managing Director of LOSTnFOUND AG and project manager of the joint venture, said about the ongoing introduction:

"The start of the migration marks a crucial milestone

on the path to fully digital toll collection in Switzerland. The system will continue to be operated and continuously developed in the coming years to meet the long-term requirements of the transport industry."
