On June 30, 2025, Iveco Magirus AG will be renamed Iveco Deutschland AG. The change is related to the already completed spin-off of the fire protection division at the turn of the year, which now operates independently under the name Magirus GmbH. The rights to the brand name "Magirus" were transferred as part of this restructuring. According to company information, the renaming

is intended for clearer brand management within the Iveco Group, but it will not affect existing structures, contracts, or cooperation with business partners.

The Ulm location will therefore remain unchanged. There will also be no changes to the daily work routine for employees. Suppliers and service providers are encouraged to use the new company name in communication and invoicing starting July 1,

2025. Bank account details and tax information remain unchanged.

From Magirus and Deutz to Iveco

Iveco Magirus AG, based in Ulm, is or was a manufacturer of commercial vehicles and sells the products of the Iveco Group in Germany. The company originated from the traditional manufacturer Magirus, founded in 1865 and taken over by Humboldt-Deutz in 1936. After several restructurings, the brand

was integrated into Iveco, which was founded in 1975. The production of trucks in Ulm ceased in 2012, since then the focus at the location has been on development, conversion, and fire protection. The production of fire trucks was resumed in 2013 by the subsidiary Magirus GmbH. In January 2025, the financial investor Mutares took over Magirus GmbH from the Iveco Group.
