The Korean automaker Kia has announced at Solutrans 2025 (November 18–22 in Lyon) the premiere of the chassis version of its fully electric compact transporter PV5. The so-called "Platform Beyond Vehicle (PBV)" range is tailored for business and fleet customers in Europe. The first Kia Chassis-Cab will be unveiled by Marc Hedrich, President and CEO of Kia Europe, and Sjoerd Knipping, COO

of Kia Europe. Also on display at the stand (Hall 5, Booth C130) are the PV5 Crew van and the PV5 Cargo (L2H1). The long version of the transporter was officially added to the Guinness World Records™ list in late October for "The greatest distance a battery-powered light electric transporter with maximum payload has traveled on a single charge." The E-Van covered

693.38 km (430.84 mi). The record vehicle will also be exhibited at the trade fair.

“Our PBV strategy represents the next step in Kia's transformation into a leading provider of mobility solutions,” explains Marc Hedrich. “We are proud to demonstrate at Solutrans 2025 how our versatile PBV product portfolio and the Kia Business Solutions ecosystem open up entirely new possibilities for customers

in their business operations.”

The brand is also unveiling in Lyon the new Kia Business Solutions ecosystem. It bundles digital services and charging service, aims to simplify fleet management and accelerate electrification for business customers. Among the key services are a Business Portal, a Fleet Management System (FMS), a Business Mode in the dedicated app, and the Kia Charge Business charging service.
