Relief at Steyr Automotive: After the contract manufacturing for Volta Trucks following Volta's renewed insolvency did not bring the hoped-for volumes, the work now continues with SuperPanther. Both sides bring what they do best: SuperPanther provides the know-how around electric drive systems, Steyr contributes long-standing experience in vehicle manufacturing and modern production facilities. The goal is to manufacture the
vehicles to high industrial standards—and at the same time the collaboration marks SuperPanther's entry into the European market.
Manfred Eibeck, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Steyr Automotive, said at the signing:
“Steyr Automotive highly values the partnership with SuperPanther. We will combine Steyr's long-standing experience in vehicle manufacturing and the modern production capacities with SuperPanther's development know-how
in the field of electric drive systems.”
The constructive collaboration of all parties involved is worth highlighting, which led to the contract being concluded in a short time.
The partnership fits into a series of positive developments at Steyr Automotive: Currently around 80 new employees are being hired in the plastic parts painting, and also in the area of
MUT bodies – including for waste collection and street cleaning – order intake is also steadily positive.
