The startup Pyck GmbH from Baden-Württemberg has won first place at the Digital Logistics Award 2025 with its open-source software. The prize was awarded on September 9 as part of the "Zukunftskongress Logistik – 43. Dortmunder Gespräche" for the eighth time.
Six finalists presented their innovative logistics solutions in a five-minute elevator pitch before a professional audience and an expert jury. Afterwards, the jury and the participants together determined the winners. The ceremonial awards ceremony took place in the Congress Center of Westfalenhallen Dortmund during the evening
event of the Dortmund Economic Development Agency and TU Dortmund University.
Pyck excels with open-source approach
With an open-source framework for warehouse management systems (WMS), Pyck clearly prevailed. The system is designed to offer companies control, flexibility, as well as a global developer community and a public API. It is said to be secure, cost-efficient, easy to customize, and independent of manufacturers, according to the statement. Founder Daniel Jarr impressed both the jury and the audience with his idea. The first prize is endowed with €9,000 and
access to the international network of the Digital Innovation Hubs (DIH).
Weitere Gewinner
• 2nd place: K2 Mobility GmbH (Brandenburg) – with a solution for integrated and dynamic charging processes for electric trucks and electric buses. Prize: €4,500.
• 3rd place: Ease – Ergonomic Assistance Systems GmbH (Munich) – with flexible and intuitive exoskeletons that enable freedom of movement and high acceptance among users. Prize: €1,500.
About the Digital Logistics Award
The Digital Logistics Award, organized by the Digital Hub Logistics Dortmund, is among the most highly
endowed awards for logistics start-ups in Europe, with a total prize money of €15,000.

The aim of the award is to recognize and promote creative business ideas for digital working environments in logistics.
The prize money is provided by Duisburger Hafen AG/startport GmbH as well as the companies Bito Campus GmbH, Dortmunder Hafen AG and Audalis Kohler Punge & Partner
