Shell Recharge has, according to its own statements, opened its largest German ultra-fast charging location. It is located in Rheda-Wiedenbrück, North Rhine-Westphalia, directly at the A2 exit as well as at the B61 and next to the Shell gas station on Bielefelder Straße.

The now 500th location

in the German Shell Recharge network has a total of twelve ultra-fast charging points - four of which are also suitable for trucks.

"We are expanding our nationwide rapid charging network in Germany," explains Florian Glattes, head of the gas station business in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

"Our goal is to make charging as simple and reliable as possible – exactly where people are already on the move."

The company focuses, when expanding the public charging offering, on traffic-friendly locations mainly at Shell stations, but also sometimes at supermarkets such as Rewe

and Penny, at KFC, or Redevco, the operator of retail parks.

The Rheda-Wiedenbrück gas station offers, in addition to a Shell Shop with café, also car wash, WCs and an Amazon Locker station. The subsidiary Ubitricity also offers around 1,000 AC charging points, according to the information.
