According to the manufacturer, the Opel Combo is suitable for a variety of applications in retail, trades and business. Opel works with conversion and upfit partners – and is now entering into a cooperation with Bott, a provider of vehicle equipment and workshop outfitting.
Thus the Combo Electric has now been equipped with a load-securing system that should withstand demanding requirements and enable easy retrofitting of various vehicle equipment.
Load securing system
The basis
for the Lasi system is a moisture-repellent, twelve millimeter thick birch plywood floor. On the top, a slip-resistant resin film coating in Bott décor is used.
In the door areas, an aluminum edge protection is installed. Insertion nuts in the floor are intended to enable easy retrofitting of systems such as Bott vario3 vehicle equipment.
Equipment features
Vario protect-light is a UV-resistant interior wall cladding to protect against corrosion, impacts and chemicals. In the
case of leaking liquids, it is easy to clean, for example. The four-millimeter-thick cladding is made of recyclable polypropylene – the manufacturer refers to the “Greenovation” approach.
In addition, a case is part of the load securing base—for example with different tie-down straps with hooks and a clamp or ratchet, load-securing pads and a case holder.
Lightweight and robust
The system saves around 30 kilograms in weight, yet remains highly durable. The battery-electric Opel
transport van offers up to 4.4 cubic meters of cargo volume and, when equipped accordingly, can carry up to around 750 kilograms of material if it travels with zero local emissions.
