As an original equipment manufacturer and aftermarket supplier, Brembo develops and produces high-performance brake systems and components for a wide range of motor vehicles, from motorcycles to trucks. With its brake products, the company, founded in Italy in 1961 and headquartered in Bergamo, is among the leading specialists worldwide. Of course, Brembo was also present at the Autopromotec in Bologna in May 2025.

At one of the most important European aftermarket trade fairs in the industry, trade visitors were able to see the latest products related to brake solutions at the Brembo stand, including a Euro 7-compliant development for a wide range of applications, which is intended to achieve savings in several respects: for this, the "Beyond Greenance Kit" was honored in April 2025 at the Spanish aftermarket trade fair Motortec in Madrid by being included in the "Innovation Gallery".

Brembo Beyond Greenance Kit: Drastic Reduction in Particle Emissions

Special feature: The environmentally friendly brake solution presented, which combines the two designations "Green" and "Performance", can, according to the manufacturer, not only reduce PM 2.5 and PM10 emissions by 80 percent but also lower total cost of ownership (TCO) without compromising performance.

According to the press release, vehicle operating costs can be reduced by an average of 15 percent through longer service life. The solution is also designed for sedans. The report states: "this leads to significant cost savings in the vehicle lifecycle, which are of utmost importance for professional drivers of light commercial vehicles or fleet operators - and now also for drivers of sedans".

For the Greenance Kit, which is part of the new Brembo Beyond product line, coordinated lightweight brake discs and newly designed brake pads were developed together. According to Brembo, this also significantly expands the entire aftermarket portfolio. The individual products have also successfully passed the ECE-R90 homologation tests and "the most demanding road tests". Brembo Beyond aims to provide innovative and sustainable replacement parts for all future generations of vehicles.

Five Product Families for All Requirements

From a two-wheeled to a four-wheeled vehicle: Brembo offers a suitable solution for all variants. The company wants to keep pace with every technical development of modern vehicles and be able to offer the corresponding brake products - in outstanding quality both as a manufacturer of original parts and as a supplier for the aftermarket. Thus, the company presented a wide range of replacement solutions at the Autopromotec 2025,

divided into five product families. Each product family combines aftermarket products that have similar characteristics in terms of intended use and market positioning. At the same time, the classification is intended to take into account the different requirements in the volatile automotive aftermarket:

Brembo Essential

The basic replacement parts line for newcomers is based on the manufacturer's technical know-how and offers brake drums, brake shoes, hydraulic components, and remanufactured calipers.

Brembo Prime

The premium product line of replacement parts is designed to provide users with the best possible solution for vehicles from motorcycles to cars, light trucks, and heavy trucks. Here, it is intended not only to meet the required vehicle specifications but also to "exceed them through high technical and qualitative standards," according to the description. Brembo Prime offers brake discs, brake pads, calipers, brake fluid, and additional brake accessories.

Brembo Beyond

With this product line, consisting of two different series for cars, new mobility vehicles are specifically supported. The focus is on improving driving dynamics through more sustainable solutions. On one hand, this is the new Beyond Greenance Kit. It was specifically developed for the Euro 7 emission standard, which will apply to new passenger cars and light commercial vehicles from the end of 2026, and to new heavy commercial vehicles and buses from mid-2028, setting limits on pollutants and emissions. Compared to Euro 6, particle limits, for example, have been tightened.

According to Brembo, the Beyond Greenance Kit can reduce fine particulate emissions of sizes PM10 and PM2.5 by 80 percent. This allows total operating costs to be reduced without performance loss, as stated. The second product line is the Brembo Beyond EV Kit for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles. It contains specially coated brake discs and innovative brake pads, which are described as particularly quiet yet robust: the product is said to "remain corrosion-free for up to 100,000 kilometers and beyond".

Brembo Xtra

This product line is an extra for passionate car and motorcycle drivers, aimed at customizing vehicles - while maintaining the quality, reliability, and performance one expects from Brembo. "Xtra is thus the 'cool' line in the aftermarket," says the manufacturer. This (special) range includes drilled and slotted brake discs, high-friction brake pads, colored aluminum calipers, and an "advanced" brake fluid. The range was recently expanded with the Brembo Sport brake disc.

Brembo Upgrade

The fifth and final product family represents exclusive Brembo solutions for

"vehicle enthusiasts". Here, the focus is on performance, style, and passion. This means that solutions intended for the racetrack are brought to the street - characterized by innovative concepts and a compelling design. Brembo explains the background to this powerful line with the following words:

"The excellent results Brembo has achieved on the world’s major racetracks have led to the development of a brake system upgrade for passionate drivers. This allows them to optimize the look, performance, and reliability of their vehicles, whether they are driven on the road or in time-based motorsport."

This product line includes, for example, Brembo Gran Turismo (GT) systems, which consist of calipers, pads, discs, mounts, hoses, and accessories. According to the description, they provide the necessary braking performance for both everyday use and the racetrack. Another product in this segment is the Brembo Pista Kit: it was specially developed for the racetrack and accordingly consists of race calipers, discs, mounts, hoses, and accessories.

Particularly Resilient: CCM Brake Discs

As another new feature from the manufacturer, the Brembo Carbon Ceramic Material (CCM) brake discs, used in original equipment since 2000, are now also available in the aftermarket: what was previously installed as standard or offered as an option in "leading supercars" can now also be obtained via the replacement parts market. "With Brembo CCM, the aftermarket now has the best braking material available on the market," advertises the brake solution specialist. One of the peculiarities of this product is a 50 percent weight reduction compared to cast iron brake discs. According to Brembo, this weight savings significantly improves driving behavior. Furthermore, the carbon ceramic brake disc provides a consistently high friction value "in every situation," regardless of speed or weather conditions, "allowing the driver to precisely control the pressure on the brake pedal, significantly enhancing road safety."

As a third advantage of the high-tech product, the manufacturer lists its insensitivity to temperature fluctuations during prolonged braking: the braking force of the ceramic composite material is practically constant - something barely achievable with conventional cast elements. Additionally, the robust material structure prevents a deformation of the CCM discs at high temperatures, as experienced with cast iron discs: a "completely flat connection" with the brake pads remains even under thermal stress. The CCM disc also shows resistance to water and salt solutions, and does not corrode, it says.

"The wear resistance of Brembo CCM discs ensures an average

lifespan of 150,000 kilometers on the road and 2,000 kilometers in extreme racing use,"

states the press report. Although the CCM heats up quickly compared to a cast iron disc, it also cools down quickly. "This makes repeated cycles with high braking power possible without substantially affecting friction."

Brembo launched the CCM solution in 1998. After a four-year research and testing phase, the product was first used in a Ferrari Enzo for the road. The special production technique for CCM brake discs is based on the experiences Brembo gained in the development of its CCR carbon brake discs for Formula 1.

All aftermarket products are listed by the manufacturer on its Bremboparts site. Additionally, the individual brake components, which also include the motorcycle range, can be accessed in the new Bremboparts app. The nearest dealer can be determined via the map view after registration.

Motorsport Anniversary

Besides that, the company, which has around 39 production and business locations in 18 countries and employs around 16,000 people, has long been involved in the two-wheeler business. In 1972, Brembo developed the first complete brake system for the motorcycle brand Moto Guzzi. And this year, there is also an anniversary to celebrate: exactly 50 years ago, Brembo entered motorsport when Enzo Ferrari chose its brake products for his Formula 1 cars in 1975. Subsequently, Brembo, which today operates ten research and development centers, was always at the forefront of technological developments. In 2019, Brembo became the exclusive supplier of brake systems for Formula E and began its involvement with MotoE. The company's revenue, which holds more than 4,150 patents, was stated to be around 3.84 billion euros in 2024.

Acknowledgment at Motortec

At the much smaller Motortec in Madrid compared to Autopromotec, with around 710 participating companies from 80 countries and an exhibition space of around 100,000 square meters, the Innovation Gallery Awards were presented in April 2025. For this, 33 companies submitted a total of 41 groundbreaking solutions on the topic of sustainable mobility, artificial intelligence (AI), and workshop management. In the eight categories, usually, one winner was chosen, and a mention was given. Here, Brembo received a mention in the "Solutions and Technologies for Sustainable Mobility and Circular Economy" category for its "Beyond Greenance Kit". Founded in 1991, Motortec is usually held every two to three years at the Ifema exhibition center in Madrid. 2025 marked its 15th edition. The last one
