The new winter schedule 2025/2026 comes into effect at Lufthansa Cargo on October 26, 2025 and can be booked from October 5. A central component is the expansion of cooperation with ITA Airways. From the start of the schedule, the cargo airline claims to market almost all ITA Airways belly-hold capacity on continental and intercontinental routes under its own AWB number. The only exceptions are connections to the USA and Canada, until the authorities' approvals are in place. With the additional hub Rom-Fiumicino, the Lufthansa Group's network grows by another hub in southern Europe. According to the company, the cooperation leads to a capacity increase of around 20 percent.
New and expanded routes in the network
In the coming winter, Austrian Airlines will add additional connections from Vienna to Bangkok to the flight schedule
and offer up to two flights per day. Brussels Airlines expands its Africa offering with additional weekly flights to Lomé, Dakar, Conakry, Monrovia, Accra and Freetown. A new route will be established with Discover Airlines from Frankfurt to the Seychelles.
Stable freighter network with Boeing 777F
Lufthansa Cargo continues operation with up to 87 weekly freighter rotations with the Boeing 777F to 36 destinations. A new addition is Almaty in Kazakhstan as a destination in Central Asia. In addition, the connection from Ho Chi Minh City to Los Angeles will in the future be routed via Shanghai. This enables customers to ship cargo from Shanghai directly to North America. This additional connection is already available from the end of August 2025. Overall, Lufthansa Cargo offers up to 50 weekly frequencies to 17 destinations in
the Asia-Pacific region.
Services in North and South America
The company connects North America with 28 weekly freighter services to eleven locations. In South America, four destinations, each with four weekly rotations, are on the program. Thus, the American market remains a key component of the global network.

Short- and mid-range with A321F
The European offering is expanded through the deployment of the company's own A321 freighter fleet. From the hubs of Frankfurt and Munich, up to 37 weekly rotations are flown to 20 cities. In early July 2025, this network was expanded with the opening of a new freighter station in Beirut.
Comprehensive Lufthansa Group network
In addition to the 53 destinations in the freighter schedule, Lufthansa Cargo also markets belly capacity from the Lufthansa Group's passenger schedule. According to the company, customers have weekly access to up to 7,500 flights operated by the airlines Lufthansa, Austrian, Brussels, Discover, ITA Airways and SunExpress to more than 350 destinations
