The Nagel-Group has, according to its own statements, as of August 1, 2025, switched its entire loading equipment management at all 130 locations to a digital solution. The basis is the software from the start-up Logistikbude. The implementation was completed within six months.
Test phase and rollout
Before the pan-European rollout, a testing phase took place in June and July 2025 at four pilot sites. Subsequently, the simultaneous introduction at all further branches followed. According to the company, comprehensive training and the support of key users were part of the implementation process.
Digitization instead of analog administration
The software from Logistikbude enables networked and automated real-time management of EUR pallets, plastic pallets, and Euro boxes. Previously, the management of these loading aids was largely conducted using analog receipts. This practice hampered traceability and, if the receipts were lost, often led to shrinkage of the load carriers.

Scope of pallet inventory
The company handles, according to its own statements, annually around 25 million EUR pallets, 35 million Euro boxes, and 3 million H1 plastic pallets. The digital solution uses data from existing precursor systems to ensure transparency and traceability of the inventories.
Continuous development
For a successful start, according to Nagel-Group, training sessions, workshops and weekly alignments were conducted. The software is also to be further developed after go-live. In the next step, a function will be introduced that, with the
support of artificial intelligence, automatically analyzes and posts pallet slips.
Benefits for customers and partners
Digital management enables seamless documentation of all loading carriers. Each individual container is digitally visible at all times. Swap partners without their own software also receive access to the relevant data via web links. When several parties use the system, the management of the loading carriers runs almost automatically.
