ODTH First Class Logistics, a family‑owned logistics service provider in Belgium, and Movu Robotics have completed the first phase of a scalable warehouse automation project at the ODTH site in Rumst. This has transformed a conventional warehouse into a software‑driven, high‑density logistics center, the provider in the field of scalable warehouse automation and a member of the Stow Group said in a press release on August 25. Thanks to the collaboration, the logistics service provider increases its operational efficiency and real‑time transparency and reduces environmental impact.
The solution combines "Movu atlas", Movus shuttle‑based automated warehouse and retrieval system (ASRS), with the Warehouse Execution Software (WES) "Movu OPS", developed by Movus's R&D team and integrated into ODTH's SAP ERP.
The system operates
in a live environment with SAP integration and enables dynamic pallet routing, intelligent buffer management, and seamless control of shuttle operations and conveyor systems. The rollout follows a carefully staged implementation plan designed to maintain full operational continuity while gradually increasing automation capacity.
Upon completion of the project, the facility in Rumst will encompass more than 31,000 pallet positions on 14,000 square meters of storage space. Twenty autonomous Movu Atlas shuttles will operate on four vertical levels and be coordinated by five high‑speed elevators. With five put‑away and seven outbound stations, the system is capable of handling up to 6,000 pallet movements per day – 3,000 inbound and 3,000 outbound – without compromising the site's 24/7 operating commitments to its customers
in the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector. The completion of the first phase paves the way for further project progress, as all integrations and software components are ready to be deployed in Phases 2 and 3, which will go live in September. The final project phase will go live in Q1 2026.
Instead of building anew, ODTH and Movu Robotics decided to reuse the existing racking infrastructure of the warehouse. This decision not only reduced capital expenditure but also avoided new CO2 emissions of 680 tonnes. The system is so flexible that it can handle both euro pallets and industrial pallets with widths from 1,200 millimeters and heights up to 2,400 millimeters. This enables ODTH to serve a diverse customer base
with varying logistical requirements.

The entire project is being implemented in a fully functional warehouse and has so far been realized without any impact on our customers. This demonstrates the strength and flexibility of the collaboration between MOVU and ODTH.”
In five further planned implementation phases, ODTH and Movu Robotics will continue to roll out the system, add more automation capacity, and introduce advanced orchestration capabilities.
