The Hoyer Group is expanding its activities in the Middle East. According to the company, the logistics provider has opened a new branch in Dammam under the name Hoyer Arabia. Here the local on-site expert team will also take over transport logistics activities—a decisive step to serve customer needs even faster and more precisely. Since 2018, Hoyer

has already been represented in Al-Jubail with a facility for storage and filling of chemicals.

Focus on transport and intermodality

Currently, the focus lies on the overseas business as well as on land transports within Saudi Arabia and in neighboring countries. In the long term, the offering is to be expanded to intermodal transports. Saudi Arabia is

currently investing in the expansion of its rail network. Hoyer intends to use this infrastructure once the projects are completed, drawing on its international experience in combined transport.

Expanded services

With the Supply Chain Services (SCS) in Al-Jubail, the Hoyer Group will in the future offer in Saudi Arabia services—from formulation-compliant mixing, to the filling and storage

of the product, as well as its loading, to transport logistics and unloading.

Significance for the chemical industry

According to Hoyer, demand for logistics solutions in Saudi Arabia is increasing, notably in the chemical industry. With the new office in Saudi Arabia, the company is closer to its customers and can offer them even more efficient solutions.
