Rüdinger Freight Forwarding is a family-owned company in its third generation, based in Krautheim in Baden-Württemberg. The company specializes in partial and full truckloads as well as machinery and plant engineering.

Rüdinger also operates as a regional LTL freight forwarder and warehouse logistics provider; among its global logistics services are air and sea freight as well as customs clearance.

Recently, the freight forwarder, together with truck manufacturer Renault Trucks and the Services division of

Netze BW, opened a depot charging park on the company's premises in Krautheim. The aim is to strengthen the electrification of heavy-duty road freight in the Hohenlohe region and to jointly push the mobility transition forward.

Advancing Electrification

According to its own statements, the freight forwarder plans to convert its entire last-mile fleet to electric vehicles by 2027. By the end of 2024, 15 percent of the fleet was already electric on the roads;

by 2026 the share is to rise to 50 percent.

The new charging park can be flexibly scaled to match the fleet's needs, thanks to scalable charging infrastructure—without affecting normal operations, the company says.

Manufacturer's E-Range

The Renault Trucks portfolio includes fully electric vehicles from 3.07 to 44 tonnes. In addition, according to the manufacturer, it relies on the circular economy: thus, by converting existing diesel vehicles to electric propulsion, resources are conserved and

the CO2 footprint is further reduced.
