Metzen Industries GmbH has acquired Gerwin Silotechnik GmbH, based in Beckum. According to a statement from Metzen dated July 21, the transaction is intended to expand capacities in the field of material handling. Against the backdrop of rising infrastructure investments in Europe, Metzen is positioning itself for future growth. According to the company, this concerns, among other things, the technical expertise, regional presence, and the Beckum production site, which is to be continued and strengthened in the long term.
Through the integration of Gerwin Silotechnik, Metzen aims
to expand its range of services in the planning and manufacturing of bulk material plants. According to the company, this includes solutions in conveyor technology, dedusting, and silo technology. The competencies of both companies are to be combined and supplemented along the value chain.
The company Gerwin uses modern technologies that, among other things, allow the reduction of the use of heavy machinery. According to the company, this leads to lower fuel consumption and a measurable reduction in CO₂ emissions.
“The demands on infrastructure projects are increasing
– both technically and logistically. With Gerwin by our side, we can offer even more comprehensive support to our customers in the future, especially in the construction materials and recycling sectors. The Beckum location plays a key role in this,” explained Ramin Ghalibaf, CEO of Metzen Industries.
