The EK Robotics GmbH has filed an application for the initiation of a preliminary insolvency proceeding in self-administration with the competent district court of Hamburg. This is evident from a press release dated August 31. The court has accordingly ordered the preliminary self-administration. According to the company, the management of EK Robotics GmbH remains fully in office and continues to lead the company. The insolvency-related restructuring in management is being carried out by the experienced specialist attorney Jochen Sedlitz with his team from the law firm Grub Brugger, according to

the announcement. The court has also appointed the insolvency expert attorney Stefan Denkhaus from the law firm BRL (Boege Rohde Luebbehuesen) as the preliminary custodian, who is to oversee the self-administration.

The aim of the restructuring process, according to company statements, is to economically stabilize EK Robotics and position it for the future. The background to this step is a challenging market environment, according to the company: investment restraint, economic uncertainties, and global market disruptions are currently also affecting industrial plant construction. Additionally, individual legacy projects with insufficiently compensated additional

costs are burdening the income situation. Discussions with affected customers have so far not led to any economically viable solution.

According to the provider, the operational business operations continue without restrictions. All existing customer and supplier relationships are thus being served as usual. According to the company, all services also remain fully available and are secured in the long term beyond the procedure. The foreign subsidiaries of the EK Robotics group are not affected by the procedure.

Search for investors underway

Parallel to the self-administration, the company has initiated a

structured investor process to review and implement additional strategic options for future development. Initial discussions with potential investors have already begun.

Andreas Lindemann, Managing Director of EK Robotics GmbH emphasizes:

"Our goal is to sustainably stabilize EK Robotics GmbH and position it for the future.
