The provider EP Equipment celebrated the official opening of its new automation center at Schanzenstraße 35 in Cologne together with the event "The Future of Warehousing" on September 22 and 23, 2025. More than 150 selected partners and customers reportedly attended the event, according to a press release. The program reportedly offered an introduction to EP Equipment's
latest developments in warehouse automation and AI-powered solutions.
After the opening of its European headquarters in Cologne in September 2024, EP Equipment, according to the company, has already doubled its size within one year. The new automation center and the showroom for intelligent warehouses are intended to underscore this rapid growth. The company sees this as a
decisive milestone in its long-term corporate strategy, according to the provider.
“With the opening of our automation center, we reaffirm our vision to lead the transformation of warehousing through innovation,” said Arjan van Zanten, VP Automation Europe. “This event gave our partners and customers the opportunity to experience how EP Equipment is using automation and AI to
redefine the industry.”
The comprehensive program included keynotes, panel discussions and live demonstrations of practical applications. In the afternoon, guests participated in a structured group program that guided them through detailed product and solution workshops. These showcased EP's entire portfolio—from entry-level automation applications to fully autonomous warehouse demonstrations—and were designed to demonstrate the scalability of the approach.
