The air and sea freight provider DHL Global Forwarding has appointed Felix Heger with effect from November 1, 2025 as the new CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Germany and Switzerland (DECH). The appointment, according to a press release from the Bonn-based group, is part of the company's strategic development and stands for a consistent focus on sustainable growth, innovative solutions and strengthening customer orientation in the European market.
Heger succeeds
Markus Panhauser, who at DHL Global Forwarding as SVP Global LCL will henceforth be responsible for worldwide activities in the Less-than-Container Load (LCL) area. In his new role, Felix Heger will be a member of the European Management Board and reports directly to Tobias Schmidt, CEO of DHL Global Forwarding Europe.

According to DHL, Heger brings more than 20 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, of which over 15 years in international leadership positions at DHL Global Forwarding. Since joining DHL Inhouse Consulting in 2005, he has significantly shaped the development and growth of the company. His previous responsibilities include, among
other things, global product development in the Ocean Freight (OFR) area, heading the Ocean Freight business in Ireland, leading OFR Europe, and leading OFR & IP Germany.
In his career at DHL, Heger drove the introduction of the OFR product portfolio for the Life Sciences & Healthcare sector, established DGF China Rail in Europe and led both OFR Europe and OFR Germany through extensive transformation processes, according to the company.
