The IT provider Setlog, specialized in Supply Chain Management, will showcase its enhanced SCM software "OSCA DC" (Digital Core) at the transport logistic 2025 (June 2 to 5 in Munich). The Bochum-based company announced this in advance of the performance show.
Easy Integration
At the exhibition stand, SCM experts will demonstrate how companies can achieve transparency in their supply chains using the cloud-based tool, utilize modern data analytics, and improve administration, collaboration, and communication. Visitors will also learn how TMS systems, partner tools from Shippeo and Intelliway for real-time transport tracking, as well as companies like Qarma for quality control, can be easily integrated with OSCA.
According to the provider, the latest software version of OSCA can be
swiftly implemented. Depending on the requirements, only a few weeks are needed beyond the installation phase for interfaces and global partner integrations. According to Setlog CEO Ralf Düster, all suppliers, freight forwarders, testing laboratories, and other partners are also included in the implementations by the Setlog team.
"We have set a benchmark in the industry," stated the SCM expert.
The secret behind the quick commissioning: The customers' processes are adapted to OSCA's best-practice examples – not vice versa. This is intended to reduce customer-specific adjustments, time, and costs.
OSCA, short for "Online Supply Chain Accelerator," has five main functionalities: Purchase Order Management, Global Logistics, Quality Control, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Through standardized API
interfaces, data can be securely exchanged between ERP, TMS, LVS, and other systems of various partners via OSCA without redundancies and double maintenance. Additionally, the IT tool also provides visibility for CSR and ESG topics.
More Transparency in the Supply Chain
Thanks to the information on who produces which order, sublevels can also be mapped and assigned to the respective order. Importers of clothing, for instance, gain transparency up to the cultivator of a cotton plantation.
"Comprehensive visibility helps companies quickly respond to changes in the supply chain and remain competitive. OSCA supports all partners along the supply chain in collaborating via a platform," emphasizes Düster.
The topic of quality control can also be managed via the software
– for example, through the partner tool from Qarma in support of its own module. Users receive information directly transmitted and can enter results from product inspections via a portal.
Keeping an Eye on Delays
Moreover, according to Setlog, customers can use the "Real Time Transportation Visibility" module from providers to track transports in real-time. They also receive accurate data on the estimated and actual arrival times of their shipments (Estimated Time of Arrival, ETA, and Actual Time of Arrival, ATA). In the event of delivery delays due to an incident in the supply chain, customers receive a warning, according to Setlog. This allows them to promptly respond to the disruption and adjust transport processes.
