The German Transport Forum is a cross-modal business association of the mobility sector in passenger and freight transport in Europe, currently with around 160 members. The German Study Society for Road Markings (DSGS) has now joined as a new member.

"Increasing traffic infrastructure investments can only be achieved through teamwork. The DSGS and its members make an important contribution with their work towards the continuous improvement of road safety on

our streets," said DVF Managing Director Dr. Florian Eck.

Shared Future Topics

According to Eck, promoting innovation, optimizing the lifecycle, reducing bureaucratic burdens, attracting skilled workers, and planning security for public investments are key common future topics that can be strengthened with the DSGS's entry.

"Our association represents the interests of companies and professionals who are involved in the production, implementation, and maintenance of road markings, among other things. We

are committed to promoting quality, safety, and innovation in road markings," explained DSGS Managing Director Dr. Claudia Drewes.

By developing guidelines, standards, and recommendations, they aim to contribute to raising the standards in the industry and improving road safety.

"Through our membership in the DVF, we want to better represent our concerns at political decision-making levels and expand our network in the mobility economy," said Drewes.

of the main concerns of the DSGS is the further education and training of skilled workers. In addition, it is committed to research and development - to meet the current challenges in the field of road markings, it says.
