Kässbohrer delivered an extendable four-axle Jumbo low-loader with wheel wells to Engtra Transporte GmbH. The handover took place at the Kässbohrer plant in Goch.

Engtra Transporte GmbH, based in Bramsche-Engter, is a family-owned logistics company that specializes in piece goods transports, individual and specialized transports, and measurement logistics.

Fleet expanded

The fleet includes various special vehicles, double-deck trailers, and onboard forklifts. Transport services are offered across Europe.

According to the company owner Axel Kalmey, they cover a broad spectrum of transport orders, so the equipment must therefore be

both flexible and reliable. The extendable low-loader with integrated wheel wells and a low loading height is well suited to safely transport taller machines - without requiring special permits.

“We are pleased to support Engtra Transporte GmbH with their specialized transport orders. With Enginuity, Kässbohrer continuously develops its low-loader range to meet the specific requirements of its customers who operate under demanding transport conditions across Europe,” said Thorsten Warzecha, Regional Sales Manager North Rhine-Westphalia.

Equipment features

According to the manufacturer, the delivered K.SLA RJ 4-Jumbo low-loader was designed

for the transport of tall and heavy machines. Kässbohrer states an unladen weight of 11,800 kilograms as well as a platform height of 770 millimeters.

The wheel wells are designed to reduce the loading height by 425 millimeters to 345 millimeters, thereby enabling transport without special permits on the four-axle low-loader.

The extendable chassis provides flexibility for transporting loads up to 12,740 millimeters in length with 500-millimeter extension steps.

The vehicle is suitable for the safe and stable transport of tall machines thanks to its reduced loading height

and an additional 105 millimeters of ground clearance.

Vehicle series for heavy loads

The delivered low-loader belongs to Kässbohrer’s K.SLA series, which is available in configurations of three to six axles and, according to the manufacturer, developed for heavy-load applications.

The series covers various load dimensions with an extendable chassis and a three-stage side-extension system. More than 40 ramp configurations are available, up to 32 lashing rings with a capacity of 5, 6, 8, 10 or 13.4 tonnes, integrated container locks as well as vertical and horizontal lashing
