Trentar Mobility, a subsidiary of the Trentar Group, is taking over the entire Orten Group – including Orten Fahrzeugbau, Christophorus Nutzfahrzeuge, GeBoKit and ETW Electric Trucks – with around 100 employees at the locations in Bernkastel-Kues, Wittlich-Wengerohr, and Rothnaußlitz.
New Corporate Chapter
Based in Bernkastel-Kues, the company is thus starting a new chapter in its 100-year corporate history. Through the new partnership, the Orten Group gains access to investments in its existing locations as well as to future technologies in digitalization and mobility.
At the same time, the company remains entrepreneurially independent and firmly
rooted in the region, according to the statements.
"For our customers, partners, and employees, nothing changes on a daily basis – except that we can now move into the future with additional strength and new opportunities," said Robert Orten, who led the company as managing director and partner for 48 years. He added: "Our identity, our locations, and our teams remain intact."
According to Robert Orten, belonging to an international innovation network opens up new perspectives for growth and technological development. According to the company's statements, Trentar Mobility GmbH aims to become a leading
provider in the field of next-generation mobility and vehicle technologies.
The focus is on solutions for the mobility of the future, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. These areas are also to be specifically further developed at the Orten Group, it is said.
Additionally, Orten intends to further strengthen and expand its market presence in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland under the new ownership.
New CEO
Long-time managing director and partner Robert Orten has led the company for 48 years and will continue to serve as managing director until September 2025. He will then work closely with
the new management team in an advisory role.
The operational management will be taken over by Tarkeshwar Rao as the new CEO. According to the reports, he has extensive international management experience in the mobility sector. The company will continue to be supported by long-standing authorized officers.
Securing the Future
The new partnership should enable targeted investments in the existing locations while ensuring the competitiveness of the Orten Group.
All existing contracts, agreements, and services for customers, partners, and suppliers will remain unchanged. No changes are planned to the structure, jobs, or company headquarters.
