As part of Transport Logistic in Munich, Pneuhage and Schmitz Cargobull celebrated their partnership in the field of tire services. For ten years, Pneuhage has supplemented Schmitz Cargobull's service contracts with tire services. The cooperation began in 2015 and is set to be expanded to other European countries in the future.
In Schmitz Cargobull's full-service offerings, Pneuhage is involved as an external partner for the supply of new tires and—since 2023—also with retreaded tires. Pneuhage’s nationwide service network and the Europe-wide
Pneunet network ensure operational coverage in everyday fleet operations. According to Pneuhage, fleet customers particularly appreciate the option for retreaded tires, which are a sustainable alternative to new tires.
“The contact with Schmitz Cargobull was an important step for us 10 years ago to further grow in the key account business,” said Robin Brucke, Head of Product Group Management Commercial at Pneuhage.
The company philosophies have aligned from the beginning. Brucke further stated:
“The positive feedback and satisfaction of our joint
customers have shown us that we are on the right track with our offering. This encourages us to continually improve and to pull out all the stops in the partnership for continued good cooperation.”
Schmitz Cargobull is also satisfied with the cooperation so far: “For our customers in the transport industry, one thing is paramount: reliability.”
With Pneuhage, the manufacturer has a quality-oriented partner in its network of tire service partners, “who understands the service needs in everyday transport operations and
offers customer-oriented solutions,” according to Schmitz.
The cooperation is not to be limited to Germany. According to Pneuhage, new partnership models are currently being implemented in Austria and Poland. Other countries may follow.
Pneuhage uses both its own stock and the range of its associated wholesaler Interpneu for tire replacement. Retreading is carried out in four of its own plants under the brand names Recamic (Michelin) and Bandag (Bridgestone). According to the company, the Pneunet network includes over 500 European service
