The Austrian companies Storebox and Myflexbox have significantly expanded their collaboration, which began in 2025, in the area of last-mile delivery. According to both companies, more than 50 Myflexbox parcel stations were integrated within Storebox locations in central German cities within a few months. By the end of the year, the number of combined locations is to rise to 160.

"We are not talking about strategies or pilot projects here, but about real rollout," says Jonathan Grothaus, CEO & Founder of Myflexbox. "With every expansion step we strategically gain valuable locations in urban areas. This and the bundling of parcel services – currently GLS, DPD, UPS and FedEx – make the network so

attractive for customers. The collaboration yields additional valuable city-logistics potential for the future."

Storebox CEO Johannes Braith adds: "With this partnership, the largest last-mile logistics collaboration in the DACH region is created. Two Austria-based companies pool their efforts and bring together a real alternative to the established shipping services to Germany. We show that innovation and competitiveness do not have to come from international corporations, but also from smart, digitally driven pioneers from Austria."

Interconnection of two infrastructures

The core of the cooperation is the linking of Storebox's self-storage network with Myflexbox's open parcel-station network. Storebox operates, according to its own statements, over 370 digitally controlled storage locations in six countries. In addition

to storage space, the company offers logistical value-added services such as micro-hubs, click-and-collect solutions, and parcel stations. Myflexbox reportedly has more than 1,400 parcel stations in over 400 cities and municipalities in Germany and Austria, according to the company. Through the combination of both systems, the companies say, the densest, intelligently networked self-storage and parcel network in the German-speaking region is created. The collaboration is not a pilot project, but part of an ongoing rollout, the partners emphasize.

Objectives and application areas

With the merger, the companies aim to create a tightly meshed, digitally controlled logistics infrastructure that meets the requirements of urban delivery. The network is intended to be deployed mainly in

city areas with good transport connections in order to make the flow of goods on the last mile more efficient and sustainable.

According to Myflexbox, GLS, DPD, UPS and FedEx are currently connected to the system in Germany. Customers will in the future be able to use both self-storage and parcel services around the clock at a single location.

Outlook for 2026

For the coming year, Storebox and Myflexbox plan a further expansion of the joint infrastructure. According to the companies, further expansion steps are already planned for 2026. This should lay the foundation for closer integration of storage and delivery processes that meets the growing requirements for flexible and resource-efficient city logistics.
