With the introduction of a Single Sign-On (SSO) function, the software manufacturer CIM expands the warehouse management software "PROLAG World" with a central authentication solution. The new function allows users to log in just once and then access all connected systems—regardless of the device or location.

Technically, the solution is based on the open standard

"OpenID Connect" and is compatible with modern corporate networks.

SSO is more secure because it is simpler

For operational warehouse operations, the feature offers several advantages: the time required for repeated logins is eliminated, IT administration is simplified through role-based rights assignment, and new employees benefit from simplified access routines. Central management of user rights

also increases system security. Especially for complex or cross-location IT structures, SSO supports digital networking and ensures more transparency and efficiency in everyday work.

Phishing attacks are made more difficult

Single Sign-On is considered a key technology in identity management. The approach not only reduces the number of required passwords but also minimizes the risk

of phishing attacks since login data is only entered at one central location. This one location can be more easily checked for correctness (URL, SSL server certificate, etc.).

At the same time, however, the central solution makes companies dependent on the availability of the identity provider—an aspect that requires a stable infrastructure and clear service-level
