Vehicle manufacturer Fliegl has, according to its own statements, developed the three-axle saddle low-loader SDS 410 Maxi for the transport of agricultural machines. The vehicle is equipped with wheel wells and a lowered low bed, which allows a loading height of 400 millimeters in the low bed and 900 millimeters above the axles.
The three-axle saddle low-loader SDS 410 Maxi from Fliegl can also be operated with heavy construction and agricultural machines with a permissible total weight of up to 22,000 kilograms. The manufacturer lists a technical payload of 32,400 kilograms, and a permissible payload of 26,400 kilograms. The empty weight in the base version is about 8,600 kilograms according to the specifications. In the low bed as well as between the axles are wheel wells with a depth
of about 450 millimeters and a length of 800 millimeters integrated. The coverings with steel inserts can be removed to enable the transport of tall machines.
For machines with low ground clearance, the trailer is equipped with a long rear ramp incline, into which a wheel well is also integrated. The aluminum rear ramps are 2,400 millimeters long, 450 millimeters wide and, according to the press release, have a load capacity of 24,000 kilograms per pair. In the technical overview, a load capacity of 22,000 kilograms is stated for the ramps. Additional ramps for driving onto the gooseneck carry up to 8,000 kilograms per pair.
Axles and Suspension
The first axle is designed as a lift axle with starting aid and forced lowering. The third axle is trailing and
can be manually locked. An axle load recognition with a display in the cab receives its data via the EBS-CAN bus signal. The values as well as further vehicle information such as the odometer are displayed via an info center in the cab.
Options for Load Securing
The outer frame of the trailer has numerous fastening points. According to the company, there are eight lashing eyes with five tons of pull force each, 16 lashing mushrooms with ten tons each, 24 recessed lashing eyes with five tons each, and twelve folding lashing eyes with ten tons each. In the outer frame with a perforated profile, lash straps can be hung at intervals of around 35 centimeters. For the storage of securing equipment, three storage boxes are provided.

Lighting
All axles are laser-measured at the factory to reduce tire wear and lower fuel consumption. The vehicle is standardly equipped with an LED lighting package that includes taillights, side marker lights, as well as position and lane-keeping lights. Additionally, two work lights at the rear and further lights mounted on the sides of the low bed are installed. Extendable warning boards up to a width of three meters are double-LED equipped and have mounting points for beacons.
Registration and Warranty
For transports that require an exemption permit under Paragraph 70 of the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations, an overall train certificate is prepared at the pickup of the trailer in Triptis with the respective tractor. Fliegl provides a ten-year warranty against corrosion for the frame painted in Novagrau. (av)
